Today we launched five fantasy sports applications built on the Facebook Platform based on my patent pending Last 2 Left game format. These applications allow Facebook users worldwide to play these games. With more than 250 million active users, Facebook is the fourth-most trafficked website in the United States.
In 2007, Facebook launched Facebook Platform to empower developers and entrepreneurs around the world make the Web more social for users. Millions of Facebook users return to the site each day, providing unparalleled distribution potential for applications and the opportunity to build a business that is highly relevant to people’s lives.
Facebook Platform is pretty amazing. It’s a toolkit that allowed us to integrate our game interface right into Facebook pages. Even more amazing, it allows our game applications to easily connect with Facebook users. We can then post to their “Wall” as well as pull their content into our games to create a personal and social feel. This environment allows our games to become extremely viral, shared by many quickly.
We developed applications for Pro Baseball, College Football, Pro Football, Pro Hockey and Pro Basketball. Facebook users can create private games for just their “Friends” or allow access to all users. Strategically, these games are simple, require very little to play and are completely free. Each application also includes an opportunity for users to win $1,000 to entice participation. It’s important to note that these are not gambling applications but rather are meant for entertainment only.
The goal is to dramatically increase the user base of Last 2 Left, which in turn will promote the brand, increase revenue and increase the company’s worth.
